Why even have booth review if it’s super selective then. I thought the point was getting all the calls right, or is it just getting the calls right in the last 2 minutes.
You guys just wanted to blame Shanahan and Shanahan alone while absolving the refs and booth at the same time. Now it’s be quiet because time has passed. Man, f*** that shit.
It’s funny how you guys pretend like game-changing calls aren’t a big deal unless they happen to your teams.
It was still on SF. Eagles were rushing to the line to run a play. You can’t rely on the expedited review when the other team is rushing to the line and trying to quickly run the next play. If Philly was taking their time and using up the entire 40 second clock then the expedited review maybe picks it up but Philly was moving to get it snapped in around half that time.
SF S was pointing to HC to challenge. It’s a big play so worth the risk of one of your 2 challenges. TO in first half not an issue it’s more so the challenges. But a successful challenge would have taken that TD off the board and given SF the ball. You have the challenges available to you. Up to the team whether they opt to use them. When the result could be a turnover on downs best to challenge it if you are not convinced it was a catch.
Nfl doesn’t want to replay everything. Would slow the game down. The expedited review will basically give HC more challenges on essence. So with that in hand, no reason to save your challenges. Don’t need to go Mike Martz with them but if there is a big enough reward best to use them.
Between turnovers, scoring plays, final 2 minutes, expedited reviews and coaches challenges, nfl can review basically all the key plays. But when there is a time crunch with a team rushing to the line, onus will turn to the HC to challenge.
