A few seasons with Pep again, and then to MLS is my guess.

Although, I'd love Chelsea, just for HF to bitch about Roman some more.

These are transition years for Barcelona upcoming. It's basically a waste of two seasons if he stays.

Going to PSG or City are better sporting moves at this point
It's just incredible! If theres ever been an athlete that I cannot imagine playing for a different club, its Leo. Of course, he has earned the right to do whatever he wants at this point.

I wouldn't put it past Roman and I understand that you make space for Messi...

However, Havertz and Ziyech would not be pleased about that lol

Oh I know, the move wouldn't make sense, and I'm sure he just wants to play for Pep again.

All of this just continues to reiterate how much I absolutely despise and f***ing hate being a United supporter sometimes. Every other squad making upgrades and we're going to make some garbage depth signing at the last moment and have an entire season of Woodward and co shoving down our throats that keeping Pogba and the development of Woodward are like new signings. Absolutely pathetic.

How does Barca line up with no Suarez and Messi next year?

Crazy it feels like just yesterday MSN was all the rage in world football.

I mean, the dude just scored 30+ goals in the league and was the only Juve player to show up in the CL 2nd round.
He seems far from finished to me.

His abilities elsewhere off the ball have declined visibly, and I think Ronaldo of five years ago would have scored 50. I’m not here to hack off the Serie A fans around here, but Serie A is in a mediocre state right now...it’s definitely enabling Ronaldo to maintain higher numbers. If you watched him, his mind is still there, but last season he was even starting to miss goals that he never used to. Including in the CL...he put up two against Lyon, but missed an absolute free header in the second half off a corner. Just couldn’t get the height above the ball. No, he’s absolutely not what he was.

But this is not the thread for this.

I actually think - depending on who they bring in - that they might be fine. "The Barca way", the tiki taka, etc.... It's not up to snuff in today's football where everyone and their mother has perfected high press, counter-press and adjusting their line defensively.
Not unless you have the perfect personnel for it, and Barca hasn't had it since 2014/15.

Barca, with Messi and Suarez, as great as they are, couldn't really press like other teams, and maybe more importantly, was lacking speed to exploit high lines.
It's how Roma beat them, it's how Bayern beat them.

If they invest smartly, Dembele and Griezmann actually get to play their preferred roles, they might do just fine.

But who knows at this point...
