Slap Shots has learned the Blues (with assistant general manager Martin Brodeur), Maple Leafs (with general manager Lou Lamoriello) and Sharks (with coach Pete DeBoer and assistant Johan Hedberg) are among more than a half-dozen clubs who have expressed interest in Kovalchuk.
I'm not sure I'd do it for Lindberg. He seems to be the Rangers version of Josefsson.

The best line in the article though:
Finally, for the sake of newly minted Islanders assistant Scott Gomez, let’s hope the players he coaches are more respectful of him than he was of some of his coaches when he played for the Devils and the Rangers

These are great, its like titles from each summer and even season from the day Kovy became a Devil. Maybe in a slightly different order.

<----- As on Day 1, still believes this is a contract negotiation farce and Kovalchuk stays in Russia.

I wonder where the info is leaking about the interest, I guess it must be from Kovalchuk's camp. I mentioned those 3 teams and those 3 names associated with those teams in this thread a week ago.

Plus having 'interest' is a fairly loose term. I'm sure some of those teams have interest on a one-year deal and trading a mid-round pick, but if any of those teams had real interest (especially in terms of money offered) he wouldn't be throwing out going back to the KHL.

Oscar Lindberg, Nick Holden and a third round pick for Kovy?

Don't see the Rangers doing it with Staal and G locked up. You guys would LOVE Lindberg, I wouldn't mind moving him cause he might be a candidate to go to LV. The perfect 3rd liner for any team.

Devil fans are pretty familiar with Lindberg, I don't think many Devils fans would end up loving his game. Rangers have a lot of depth, but there are a few players who benefit more from it than add to it. Lindberg is one of them. The 3rd rnd pick is really all the Devils would be interested in there, and I would think a similar offer would be on the table elsewhere.

From the Rangers? Pavel Buchnevich or go home.

This!

Knowing AV, he'd probably trade him for Beau Bennett or Sergey Kalinin if we still had him, as he treats Buch as if he's as useless as Kalinin.
