I'm a weirdo who watched the immediate replay after the game. Slavin and Pesce were even more impressive upon 2nd viewing. If they can get back to shutting out top lines like that more often than not (first Pens goal doesn't count to me, Williams was interfered with clear as day), we're in an extremely good playoff position.
But I'm so very special. You creeps. What the hell are you doing here, you don't belong here.
I would like to do it more often though, not just when I take extended Christmas vacay and have no cost (slave babysitting) child care.Is that weird? If that's weird, I'm a weirdo too.
Your optimism is showing, Hank.1 point behind nyr for 8th. 2 points behind nyr for 7th. A game in hand on both.
4 points behind cbj for 3rd in the metro with 2 games in hand.
And we're still in December.
If this team keeps pushing, they can be there in the end.
A contract year. One more game like his recent string and Cam is in Top 8 perhaps, in GAA and Top 10-ish in Sv%. What year is this?
I would like to do it more often though...
It’s “Trogdor”

Hey, you know what it is?
They're playing with ANGER.
I definitely noticed Faulk. I specifically remember a play yelling at him turning the puck over. And hes slowers molasses
But I think PNC arena should be named after Slavin this game. Justin who??

We as Canes fans should know better. They will f*** it up somehow, I know that Faulk, Rask and Darling all have tried very hard, but they are not successful yet.Wow...I mean... just checked out the score fully expecting the 6 - 0 blow out... we don’t win these games...starting...to....believe
NO...NOT FALLING FOR THIS AGAIN
Spiritually revitalized! Lot of churchin' over the holidays and all....I wonder if the grind was just wearing Slavin out a little bit. It's not easy to play 23 minutes a night against the best players in the league, especially considering he basically did it straight out of college. Only 2 games but he seems refreshed and much more effective after the Christmas break, at least to my eyes.

Overturned goal explanation:
Coach's Challenge: PIT @ CAR - 17:44 of the Second Period
Ok, but we’ve seen this kind of thing ruled as “got pushed into contact”, previously...no words about that.
For Faulk, as long as he's only being noticed in the offensive end is a good thing.
However, this game the only time I noticed him was when he got in foot race for an icing and he looked noticeably slower than the forward he was skating against. I think the play did result in icing, but when I saw it I was wondering if Faulk could stand to lose 10-15 lbs. He is noticeably less agile than he was when he broke into the league.
I wouldn't say there is an anti-Faulk crusade but then again not everyone has a Faulk-icorn avatar so there's that. Seriously though, it's like any player who has been with this team for several years. First he's overrated - I personally have stated that many times in the past about Faulk here and on the trade board - and then after a large enough sample size, warts are more evident. AKA shiny toy syndrome or STS.He looked noticeably slower than Carl Hagelin?!? One of the fastest players in the NHL? Ya don't say...
I love the crusade this board is on against Faulk.
Slavin-Pesce were looking like their old selves again! Slaving skated past his man, lost his edge, and casually reached back to poke it away and up iceMalkin with 2 shots last night & Crosby with 1. That D was fabulous last night, that's how you beat the Penguins.
