Which fan base has the bigger victim mentality, the one that's been without playoffs for 8 years or the one that just won back to back cups? The answer may surprise you!

Seriously every other post is *****ing and moaning about the refs. Man I hope they sell the farm to "put some energy into their lineup" cmon JR you know you want to
I'm honestly surprised by how entitled fans of teams like the Penguins and Oilers are. They think just because they lucked into a generational talent or two, they should be great forever and everyone should kiss their feet. f*** the Pens and f*** the Oilers. They would basically be Carolina without lucking into the situations they have over the years.

Hell Pens came closer to relocating than the 'Canes ever did. They were getting really close to relocating to Kansas City about the time Canes won the Cup from what I remember. Probably would have had Mario not bailed them out and they not won the Crosby sweepstakes.

Oilers for that matter almost moved to Houston in 1998. Probably about 3-5 years from doing so had they not built that new arena.

You are without a doubt correct that both were much closer to ever moving than we were. The Oilers situation is a bit different, but the Pens situation stinks to high heaven, as they say.

Faulk was unusually invisible in this game. Maybe a quiet shot or two? I’m not sure if that’s a positive or not...
For Faulk, as long as he's only being noticed in the offensive end is a good thing.

However, this game the only time I noticed him was when he got in foot race for an icing and he looked noticeably slower than the forward he was skating against. I think the play did result in icing, but when I saw it I was wondering if Faulk could stand to lose 10-15 lbs. He is noticeably less agile than he was when he broke into the league.

As an aside, someone should run Kuhnhackl as revenge for him destroying Murphy in juniors back in the day.
From your mouth to Gronk's ears tonight apparently.

Forget KC, the one that literally nearly ended up happening and screwing the Pens over even worse was cueball from Blackberry there. Literally intentionally torpedoed their casino bid when it came to funding for the new arena in an effort to move the team to Hamilton.

A lot off worse things than an invisible defenseman....like Ryan Murphy visibly.
I like to call it Cale Makar visibly.

Oh, also: according to sportsclubstats, the win increased their playoff chances by 7%, up to 46%.

So what I'm saying is... there's a chance.
Sounds like a really sound statistical model to me...
