Even with all that said, I still bet on the Jets to win. Unlike Buggs and Kinjero - traitors!

I never win when I gamble, so I'm sacrificing my hard earned vbucks to all but cement the Jets victory! You see, the higher powers that are in charge of gambling (Robert De Niro?) will have noticed that I've placed a bet, and have no choice but to make Dallas throw the game because they cannot let me win. Reverse psycology, it's obviously going to work.

The Winnipeg Jets sent out a reminder to fans about the chance to win Jets gear by supporting the Hockey Fights Cancer initiative.

Draw is 22nd of October, so you will have five games (possibly can be bought on 22nd as well).

More here.

I thought the guys spent the couple of days before the Wild game working on face offs.

My advise, keep all aspects of the game simple, do what comes natural, don't overthink, including face offs.

And Claude, PLEASE, FFS, STOP JUGGLING THE LINES!!!!! Let the guys play together as units and get some flow.

Half the people ***** at trying to make adjustments half when he doesn't.

Are there any examples from over the past three years where Noel started juggling lines and we actually started playing better? I mean, other than the obvious ones like where Noel would reluctantly put a Wellwood up on the second line in place of Mittens and we would start to get some second line production. I'm talking about the wholesale mixing and matching he is so fond of.

I know we want think the Jets will man up and dig deep, bla bla bla but this team seems to have deeper problems right now.

-They can't make enough good passes especially in there own zone.
-It seems the players aren't or can't play the system the coaches are pushing, what ever that system is, I can't see it, if someone can explain it to me that would be great and I don't mind if you have to use hand puppets and contemporary dance interpretations for me at this point.
-We haven't lost a 7-0 game yet but that was due to plain old luck, just want too see this team pass better in their own end at least.
:(

At least we are 2W and 2L so far...

I'm cautiously optimistic that the faceoff thing with Little and Slater are just massive slumps and that maybe they'll break out of it. Heck one of the reasons Slater keeps a job is because he's SUPPOSED to be a faceoff specialist.

It was also good to see Schiefele have respectable numbers at the dot last night, maybe that will continue.

So this is what having the 3rd youngest team in the league is like, eh? Inconsistent? You bet. Talented? I think so.

I have almost no doubt that they'll wipe the ice with Dallas tonight, just to ensure that we as a group stay bi-polar. :D

Yep. Well stated.

I'm quite sure that even if they do win tonight though and play well that the fire the coach group will be out in full force again the next time they do lose; they don't want to address the roster and are simply looking for an easier scapegoat. Have a good night.

Two years ago today, Big Nik scored the goal número uno for Jets 2.0.

Kevin McCartney (same guy who did the James Wright anatomy of a shift article) breaks down the Jets' (and Oilers) defensive system here:

http://jetsnation.ca/2013/10/1/systems-analysis-different-looks-at-the-swarm

No stats. Just old fashion coaching/scouting.

He also does a post-game review on how certain players play within the system.

good link, anything anywhere on the Regular season?

I hate watching the Jets play their stationary bend and reach positional Defense style, it's like they're scared to play man to man.

Well he discusses the Jets play in pretty much every post-game report the website does after each game... but you can also bug him on twitter and I'm sure he'd do requests.
