Canucks could be a stealth team on Noah Hanafin.

What's up with fried eggs and saying stealth team all the time now?

Start a little inconsequential spark here and distract people, while you start a major fire elsewhere. Not a bad tactic, if that's the case.

"Trade and sign" if you prefer. Dorion has orchestrated the last two (Turris and Burrows) so it's not a huge stretch to think he could do the same with Karlsson.

Pure coincidence if he does and "orchestrated" is a bit much on the Turris one, considering Dorion had nothing to do with the contract he signed with the Preds.

In fact, Turris and EK are 2 completely different scenarios. Kyle was offered a 2C job on a contending team with one of the strongest reputation right now. If he didn't accept the Preds might just as well found a new center some other way closing the door on Turris moving forward. There was a lot of incentive for Turris to sign right away and on paper it looked like a really good fit.

EK is a superstar who every team in the NHL drools after. Chances he's not going to use his right to explore FA on his own are much smaller than a guy like Turris.
