Sekera makes Oleksiak look competent and having a competent useable third pairing is a good thing. Polak needs all the help he can get when he's on the ice 5on5 .

An Oleksiak-Polak pairing is unuseably bad.

Keep the other two on the ice most of the time. Or even better have Harley on the team so you have three good pairings.

There's no way that was going to happen with our pretty conservative management . Harley would've had to go full prime Pronger in pre-season or something like that to make the team.

I know it doesn't matter as much in 2019 but is Dallas a little light in the pants up front? We just watched an extremely heavy and hard hitting team win the Stanley Cup. I look up front and I see Benn, Faksa and Comeau who can play a heavy game. I guess Perry when he gets back.

Stars outshot 9-6 in that first period. Took 2 penalties and killed off one, but gave up a goal on the other and 22 seconds later gave up a goal at 5v5. Avs also had a breakaway to end the period but I believe missed the net. 2-0 Avs
