So it's Ebs fault they didn't make the playoffs. Got it

Partly. Second best winger on the team for how many years? Naw, you can't blame your best players for the performance of the team. They shouldn't receive any sliver of the blame.

That's the attitude that lead to a decade out of the playoffs.

He has one game winner since the middle of December.

Surely there's a better example to defend him.
Much like the tweet posted above, feel free to keep cherry picking the stats and the season segments that suit your Eberle hating agenda. :eyeroll:

Eberle is a good player, but it's clear that he wanted out. He looked like a player that was playing through a harsh injury last year, but it turned out that he had given up on the team much like Schultz had.

Bully him? Really?

I wouldn't boo him if I was going to the game, but don't blame them for doing it.

Eberle had one chance to play in the playoffs with the players and didn't get it done. Deserved to get traded. Good on him for turning it up in the East.

You didn't see the interview where Eberle blamed his struggles on the Edmonton media's "brutal" treatment of him?

The attitude that lead to a decade out of the playoffs was management and poor decision making. They didn't have a plan, they wanted to be a good team but they trade Pronger and Smyth for picks and prospects in 2 years. They drafted, developed poorly. Eberle was actually one of the lone bright spots of the decade. He was a 20-25 Goals, 30-35 Assist guy during his time here. He was a good player but not someone to help you win. We lacked depth too. After Hall, Nuge, Eberle, our team was poor. Poor D core, poor bottom six, and poor goaltending. Its a team sport and you need a full roster that can play NHL hockey, that is drafted and developed by your team to be successful.

I don't even buy this though. Why would he 'give up' on a team that's heading to the playoffs, has made the frigging playoffs, and has a decent chance of getting through to the final?
