Anyone else find Greg Jackson extremely unlikable? He is so smug. Always has that arrogant know-it-all grin on his face. Listening to him during the fight master show almost makes it unwatchable. I'm not one of these haters cause of his gameplans either. He's obviously a phenomenal coach. Just rubs me the wrong way.

greg jackson is definatly the most arrogant and hateable figure in mma since hes associated with so many fighters.

cheick kongo debuts in bellator with a 2 round tko while lavar johnson got katered in 23 seconds. kongo was throwing viscious knees all fight early it was from the clinch to the legs and abdomenen then to the thigh and finally the face.

Bellator card tonight is pretty good...

the failed PPV will feature
Eddie Alvarez vs. Michael Chandler
Daniel Straus vs. Pat Curran
Mohammed Lawal vs. Emmanuel Newton

For fun, I am picking
Chandler TKO-Rd.4
Curran Sub-Rd.5
Lawal-UD

Lawal complained so much about being KO'd by spinning backfist, yet he is likely to take the safe route tonight by trying to get Newton down and gnp until Newton caves or he coasts to the UD.

Anyway, good card for free tv.

bjork aint mad he signed alvarez to a contract that makes him fight a third match against chandler. he thinks a lot of both alvarez and chandler. wow shocked to see alvarez pull off the win although it was deserved in a close affair.

straus pulls off the upset on curran as well, crazy night of mma. must think that illegal knee must have played on his mind cause he wasnt the same after that knee. he should of attacked straus after the fight resumed but he was hesitant then got ground down in that last 2 rounds.

hate king mo but i thought he took 1,4,5

Also, why would Spike be pissed, though?

Pretty much this.....

Marc Raimondi @marc_raimondi
So you're Bjorn Rebney. Two marketable guys lose and then your nemesis, the guy you just sued beats your biggest star. Rough night.

If Eddie beats Chandler again, he gets to walk away from Bellator as the champion.

That was an awesome fight. Better than Melendez-Sanchez since it was a title fight...and more tactical.
+1

So many decisions usually means boring fights, but I liked the Newton / King Mo fight and Strauss / Curran wasn't bad either. No idea what Tito / Rampage would have looked like as the main event, but this card was good on its own.

I have more respect for Jimmy Smith as an analyst since he actually used to be a fighter, unlike Rogan. But why the **** does he try too hard to look and sound like Rogan? It's embarrassing.

Really good card tonight. I like Bellator. They put on good fights for the most part. Looking forward to Chandler vs Alvarez III.

Joe Rogan is a black belt in bjj. He thought the spinning back kick to ****ing GSP.

Joe began practicing martial arts at the age of 13. Within two years, the Boston native earned a black belt and soon became the Massachusetts full contact Tae Kwon Do champion four consecutive years. By the age of 19, Rogan won the US Open Tae Kwon Do Championship, and in true Joe Rogan fashion, the lightweight champion went on to beat both the middle and heavyweight title-holders to obtain the Grand Championship.

And like has been mentioned before he also has a black belt in BJJ.

So he's got a ton of experience in two of the major facets of the sport.

bellator payouts. nice to see curran making good pay and chandler did get a great deal. dont think he would be making half that in show money with ufc. im also astonished that mo is only on a 10+10 deal.

Main card (Spike TV)
Eddie Alvarez ($80,000 + $80,000 = $160,000) def. Michael Chandler ($95,000)
Emanuel Newton ($10,000 + $10,000 = $20,000) def. Muhammed Lawal ($10,000)
Daniel Straus ($20,000 + $20,000 = $40,000) def. Pat Curran ($40,000)
Joe Riggs ($5,000 + $95,000 = $100,000) def. Mike Bronzoulis ($5,000)
Mike Richman ($7,000 + $7,000 = $14,000) def. Akop Stepanyan ($3,000)

Preliminary card
Cristiano Souza ($3,000 + $3,000 = $6,000) def. Alejandro Garcia ($2,000)
Jesse Juarez ($3,000 + $3,000 = $6,000) def. Joe Williams ($3,000)
Brandon Halsey ($5,000 + $5,000 = $10,000) def. Hector Ramirez ($7,000)
Mike Guymon ($7,000 + $7,000 = $14,000) def. Aaron Miller ($4,000)
Cleber Luciano ($3,000 + $3,000 = $6,000) def. Joe Camacho ($2,000)
Josh Smith ($1,500 + $1,500 = $3,000) def. Darren Smith ($1,500)

I still can't believe Curran lost.

****

It was shocking, going into that fight I really believed he was a top 5 fw but he continues to show no urgency when things go south.

Props to Strauss, he's a grueling fighter but I don't think he's the top guy in Bellator.

Chandler and Eddie need a trilogy, the fights are just too good. In glad Eddie came back strong, he's the forgotten man at 155 & can go with anyone at lw anywhere.

i think that illegal shot shook his confidence. good thing is hell be in the next tournament and hell roll through it im sure although they do have a few good featherweights. maybe with some luck bellator will implement that rematch clause although i wouldnt mind pitbull taking out straus.

I can't believe Rampage is only -240 against Beltran. I realize he's a shell of his former self, but it's Joey Beltran. I can't envision how Beltran could possibly even win that fight. Close decision where he appeared more active maybe? I just can't see it.
