Let them talk whatever nonsense they want.

I do laugh at the Binnington narrative they are trying to create. The guy was one of the best goalies in the AHL last season and again this season. He got his chance in the NHL and he has taken it. Trying to sell him as an AHL back-up is crazy. Trying to compare him to Hammond, who had proven nothing in any pro League at that time, is crazy.

Binnington can't sustain his numbers? Certainly possible.

It's just that if we're talking about unsustainable numbers, then the first number to look at is the .945 sv% of Ben Bishop.

Absolutely! I've been saying this since November.

His career up til age 25 is EXACTLY the same as Ben Bishop's.

3rd round pick, stuck in AHL, got better and better over time, finally got a chance at age 25 and ran with it.

Jets fan here, hope you guys take out Dallas, they are one of the dirtiest teams in the NHL. Whatever you guys do dont let up on that fore check, its very effective. Your going to need to protect Binn better then you did against the jets. Dallas's break out is far far more effective then the Jets vaunted "beer league rim around the boards." If they generate speed that top line is terrifying.

You guys have that defensive game to beat them thats for sure. I wish you all the best, as long as you guys or the Avs make it to the Stanley cup final im a happy guy, (ok honestly happier if it was the jets but beggars cant be choosers).

Bishop isnt that daunting as his mobility is suspect especially in close. The rebounds will be there.

I have you guys in 6 games. Good luck!

So are we still the cocky ones?
Oh yeah, even though holy moly do Stars fans think like really highly of their team. Like super high, you would swear they are icing a all star team over their in Dallas instead of the #1 wild card team :laugh:

Yeah, when Bouwmeester was younger.
No, right now. They are statistically very similair, and fan perception of their play is also similarly much higher than stats suggest.

He's pretty much a luckier Bouwmeester.

I hope they post some hip hop hype video on Twitter. Worked fine for the Jets.

Bouwmeester always had poor advanced stats, but in his younger days he had the offensive production to match Lindell's.
