Chuck was with Stutzle. Paul was with Brown, Paul switched off for Brady.

I meant in general. batherson is always flying. tkachuk needs to show why he's worth $8 mil. So far in 6 games he has 1 goal and hasn't looked anywhere close to 8 mil player

Sure, Stützle owns a big part of that play, but two on one's happen all the time, a guy with 700 games under his belt has to do a better job when put in that position.

a 2-1 with time in the NHL is probably the most effective play that results in goals. lose lose as a D, it's a cointoss.

back and forth odd man rushes happen in OT, still gotta feel for Stützle, man this kid is going to be elite the fact he isn't lighting the lamp right now might be a blessing in disguise if it shaves off a 1M for his next AAV.

also tkachuk seriously needs to be better. he is not looking like an $8mil player out there. batherson and norris show up and this guy get 1 good chance and floats
He's not floating.

Seriously, what's wrong with people on here?

Ready to lynch a 19 year old who generates a ton and ready to run our C out of town in his 5th game.

We can be better than this in Ottawa. Leave that shit to Toronto.

Maybe if instead of vets like Zaitsev and MDZ we went out and got competent Dmen we wouldn't have allowed 40 plus shots. The issue wasn't lack of vets, it was lack of talent on the backend.
I said earlier it’s not in the D alone. When we get in those fire drill situations it’s also on our forwards. Our young guys are not quite there yet defensively and a couple of the vets like Ennis are terrible densively. It’s simple one turnover and we completely breakdown and either get lost, stop moving or over commit trying to cover for someone else. It’s a 5 man breakdown.

I don’t know why mdz stutzle and tkatchuk all committed to the board cycle there. It’s 3 v 3

Kaprisov hadn't scored before this game. This was an inevitability as soon as we went to OT

Good effort, decent game, lots of fun.

Hard to see this team finish out of the bottom 10 without a improvimg the D.

Then why do we look so much better defensively when Chabot and zub are on the ice? Hockey is a d game but when you are ass defensively a massive reason will be because the defenders are shit

Again, that's fine. It's even more effective when the Dman back takes neither the shot nor the pass away. It was horribly played by MDZ, why are you so adamantly deflecting away from his role?

Mete sucked tonight and MDZ had two points, can’t really fault him for throwing him out there.

3 on 3 is a whole different animal than 5 on 5 though. Mete’s wheels become more valuable in 3 on 3 and his size (or lack thereof) is mitigated.
