How do none of our rookies look like they want this job?

Except for Scott Sabourin who is perfect in every way.
Would you play hard for Dorion or the Euge? Play your way in to a trade then turn up the tempo

Was there only one fan here who witnessed the last two seconds of the game where Brannstrom got Matthews skate to the face?

Edit: he is fine.

So we want the team to finish last, the roster is looking like a bottom finishing team, shocker!

this is what it looks like, nice work Sabu, BT, Bran looked pretty good, Andy was solid, the rest was meh....

can everyone here back a bottom finishing team? Or is every game going to be pages of *****ing about what people wish players and coaches could have would have should have done....

it’s been said before; we’re year 1 of a rebuild, how many in here are able to stomach that? This is what it looks like, all year.

5-3 to the leafs? That’s a good score for this team in a long season towards hopefully a top pick.

you can’t sim the season like your vids kiddos, we have another 8 months of this; better buckle up!
So we cant be critical in any way of anything. Ok got it.

The reason people want to tank is because the roster is horrible. But we cant identify what is happening? Like the coach playing terrible players 20 minutes a night. Way more than the young players who should be developing. But were not allowed to point it out.... Your world.

If we cant discuss anything tangible about whats transpired are we supposed to converse about fantasy? There are other forms for that. This is a hockey discussion form. [mod]

Hey remember all the people who used to say that tanking is for losers and we should be ashamed of it?

[mod]Developing the kids doesn’t mean throwing them out against a contender for 20 minutes a game, especially GAME 1.

Think about it.

you play them within their skill sets and let them push the boundaries before handing out more ice time. We don’t need to worry about wins, and we have enough vets throughout the line up to take the extra minutes while the kids grow.

let White master his current minutes before demanding that he play PK and PP minutes by default for example.

not rushing the kids doesn’t just apply to those in Belleville, it also means the kids up on the roster.

In my world.

Chabot was playing like a 2 million dollar defensemen. He didn't skate or compete. Not a good sign.
Well luckily we're only paying him 1million dollars this year, so he's a steal!!!! Holy crap guys it's been one game.

Guess he should only start playing once his extension kicks in eh? It's not about 1 game, it's about compete. We all know this team will have challenges but there way too many guys coasting last night.

Yesh, and Chabot was so much better...
Well Chabot has a history of being a very good player for us. Much easier to give our best player a pass. The rest of em have a long history of being dumpster fires and all are the big acquisitions (besides Boro) of our GM who by some miracle still holds down a job. Just further proof to how badly he does his job. Also a bit of a heat check on some brilliant minds here that had thoughts of guys like Hainsey and Zaitsev being useful. They're only useful in their roles as absolute canon fodder. Toronto is going to be such a better team by getting rid of their 2 worst D men. We should have been able to tear up DJ Smith's contract when he showed interest in bringing these meat bags aboard.

I am not worrying about winning games never once did I say that. I am commenting on the mis management of the ice time. Among other things like saying Brannstrom had a good game and the 4th line. Chlapik didnt even play 6 minutes and accomplished more than Ennis and Anisimov did in 20. Not allowed to identify that if it doesnt jive with your fantasy world. Based on your post that makes me a self righteous know it all.

I have thought about it, the coach should be playing the players that are playing well not a hard concept. White is more ready to handle pp time than Anisimov or Ennis, fairly easy to identify when one line gets nothing going is -3 and getting caved in. So instead of shaming people why dont you open your eyes watch the game and partake in an intellectual hockey discussion.

I still can't believe Dorion willingly committed to Zaitsev for 5 years.
