Niku was very good for them. If Stone is traded, I think he has to be returning no matter what. He looks like an impactful top 4 in the making at the least.

Is this the team that we could be?

This team isn't that bad. We had some really unfortunate timing with injuries with our top C, D and G out at the same time and the team never really recovered. Then add to that that Pageau missed the first half the season, we've been pretty unlucky.

Doesn't mean much of course but I think Dorion was right in assuming that this team should have been able to not finish dead last and have an outside shot at making the playoffs.
