Oil Country
Loge table regular season per game for 4 seats = $1400
1st round playoffs $2000

So roughly 43% mark up for 1st round for those seats.

Is $134 the average of your season ticket price?

Damn I didn't get it yet.....
What about the increase for next year regular season??

I think if you do count preseason game when calculating your average price.
It will be closer to the 50%/75%/100%/200% that the Flames used 2 years ago.
Could be worse.

Ya if you count the 4 pre-season games it works out to 57%,83%,109%,215%.

My regular season cost went up 3% (fair IMO)

You can renew online right now. They want 20% right now for next year.
I love the pay now option for the playoffs.....where you pay for all 16 possible home games. I don't understand why anyone would do that.

So regular season up 3%, I was expecting worse.

Agreed, 2-3% a year is perfectly acceptable to me.

Some regular season games go for more than double so I would expect playoff tickets to be even more valuable.

I hope so, with those prices if the Oilers went multiple rounds I would have to sell some to subsidize my costs. No way I could spend that much money on going to all the playoff games.

Haha I saw that, no idea either. I will be doing the "Pay as we play" option (#1).

I imagine Ticketmaster licking its greedy little chops at taking 35% on tickets going for $1000 haha. I think I'm with everyone else, I'd go to most because that's why you get them but to help cover that, I think you'd have to consider selling one per round.

Does anyone know if it is public knowledge how that 35% gets split?
Does the NHL get a percent? How much goes to the Oilers?

Technology has come a long way since the last time the Oilers were in the playoffs....

It's pretty much standard to pay for each round, always for 4 home games even if it can't happen. Then if they go to the next round, that credit is carried forward.

Prices. 2 years ago Calgary charged 50% more than season ticket holder prices for round 1, and 75% for round 2.

It's a lot, but my recollection is that their tickets (at least the cheapies I can afford!) are significantly cheaper....PL at the Saddledome was only about $40....so, based on that it might not be AS significant an increase. That said, I'm pleased with what they offered in the package, and my prices for season seats didn't go up too painfully either! 35% increase for the first round for me....

Just curious what section are you in?

I'm on the DRL and mine went up a tad over 8%. Could've been a lot worse I know, so I'm quite happy about it.

I'm in section 132, surprised your tickets went up by 8% I would have figured it would be a uniform increase.

You are right, I'm an idiot. I was looking at the oversize aisle seats.

It was a 3% increase. So all things considered I'll take it.

You just saved 5%! You should be thrilled

Shhhhhhh! I actually typed something along those lines but thought better of it. I was worried someone from the Oilers might be reading and I don't want them to get any ideas for next season.

Two, quick, impromptu questions - one for season ticket holders and another for those on the wait list:

Season ticket holders - are you returning next year?

Wait list people - are you excited to get into the building next year?
