If he goes out of loan, does that not mean that the team would have to pay his absurd wages? I don't see that happening for a player who is not a superstar and is on a downwards trajectory.

Loan agreements don't have to cover all of the wages. But I don't see much motivation for the Saudi team to let him go while still covering some of his wages. It's not like they have a reputation to keep. Their reputation is "will give you a truckload of money" and that's it.

He is also in a country where no one will side with him except possibly other players and that still wouldn't matter.

I hope they force him to honor his contract. I never was a fan of players signing and then wanting to leave a short time after.

So, Henderson to Ajax, Laporte complaining that things aren't great, Firmino and Jota allegedly about to leave and then there's Benzema and his issues which may lead him back to Europe soon.
The "crowds" are also seem to be getting smaller instead of bigger, but we'll see how this develops over the next few months.

Maybe they can turn things around, but for now it's not looking promising and personally I am not unhappy about it.

Looks like Neymar is enjoying some fine Saudi dining

Hummus is more of a Levantine dish though, but maybe he has a favorite Lebanese restaurant around the corner.
