Definitely would rather watch this sloppy exciting hockey than the boring sloppy hockey we’ve been subjected to for most of the year

Lesser of two evils, Chain. Lessor of two evils.

BTG's department slashing lead to the talent gap at the beginning of the 2010's which put them in need for the teardown. Allowing a meddlesome political hack like LQ back in the fold - including him driving Briere away from the team when Danny wanted to stay - did all sorts of reputation and on-ice damage that they are still feeling to this day. BTG was a different evil but the insidiousness of what he did to the team in the name of keeping it afloat is still with us.

Botterill remains far and away the worst GM they have ever had. Tiny Tim 2nd. Adams could be in the running for third, though watching Bowman take a team on the brink of a SCF and leave it as the worst in the league over the span of 7 years would be right up there.
Respect your opinion. But Agree to disagree.

GM KA is the issue. Botterill is the only one who got a job since leaving. (Assuming Adams won’t work in the NHL again). Botterill has had interviews for head jobs already.

He had his hands tied by Pegula (Skinner signing and Housley)
ROR deal looked better than initial with development of Tage being arguably the best player in the deal and RJ looking like a future top 4 defenseman.

Amazing that a lot of this started with the infamous 7/1. Losing our two best players without acquiring any assets in return.
