Keith > Larsson (hopefully)
Ceci > Russell/Jones

It's still an improvement on the second pairing.

A third line of Perry, Getzlaf and Kassian would be a PITA for other teams.
I know everyone wants to shoot Kassian into the sun, but he can skate, has hands, and isn't shy in the corners. If he's with reliable teammates in a lesser role I think he could find some consistency, which is his weak point.
When he's on, he can game.

We have to get Bouchard minutes, but FFS. Am I off here? We have been throwing young guys right into the fire for YEARS and it has gotten us nowhere. I like that he is coming back.

They need to have a mentor for our young D. Expecting Bouchard to put up Barrie or even Klefbom point is ridiculous. They need to ease him in. I’m fine with a 3 year Barrie deal.

I'd rather keep Bear+Bouchard over either of Barrie or Ceci. Get one of the two not both. If you keep Barrie then load up on defensive physical guy on the left side ala Jake McCabe/Derek Forbort. The Oilers will rue the day they trade Bear/Bouchard.
