Bouchard knocking on the door is what could make Bear expendable.

If Barrie does resign I’d be okay with it. 100% certain McDrai liked playing with someone of his offensive ability. But we know that Plan A was Larsson whos nearly the exact opposite type of Defenceman that Barrie is. So how should we interpret this? Holland just throwing plan A entirely out the window and going all offense on the right side? Seems scrambly and a bit desperate, unless there are other moves to make up for Lars, cause we still need to make up for the loss of Lars.

We are SO used to no depth and not even trying a second unit that people do not think it is an option lol. Double shift97/29 for two units

Getting Barrie back makes sense. Barrie on the first PP unit and Bouchard on the second. Also, Barrie can mentor Bouchard on being more of a offensive threat.

Also, I love to keep bear, but he's too small in this day of age. Just look at Montreal, Tampa in the playoffs this year. They had big Dman on the back end that can check, etc.

I think Larsson was probably plan A and Barrie was plan B. I don’t think Holland has a ton of options for a RD especially as a UFA. Less guys willing to come here than people want to admit.
