KHL regular season starts next week?

Yep. A week today.

All but assured at this stage he will be one of the 4 starting C's for Salavat to start season... I mean, the Kaprizov -- Vorobyov -- Khiripunov line has been listed as the 4th line in last two games... but quite frankly it feels more like a 3rd line on ability level.

August 23rd for Vorobyov (and Fedotov)

August 27th for Rubtsov (assuming he's on the roster)

What for? Just to practice?

They play 3 games in 3 days from 26-28th in the four nations tournament in the Czech Republic.

Sweden, Czech Republic & Finland.

They should both get a chance to put up some decent points going off the team Sweden have named... they are taking a pretty 2nd rate squad without some of the bigger players.

Oh ok, great. I recall this being on YouTube last year and the stream was very watchable. It's still the only time I've ever seen Vorobyov. Hopefully it is on YouTube again.

Vorobyov played his 1st KHL game of the season today. 3-2 win for Salavat.

He was listed as playing 4th line between Kaprizov & Lazarev... but ended up playing over 14 minutes and going 7/14 on the draw. He played the 3rd most minutes amongst centres... about 6 mins more than the effective 4C today.

Would be great if he is at 3C and ~14+ mins a night going forward... it would not be overly surprising, especially given Kaprizov is glued to him wing, but is very nice for a 19 year old in the 2nd best league on earth.

Vorobyov scored a goal in today's game against Yekaterinburg. The game is still underway, tied 3-3, in the 3rd period. Should be his first point of the season.

The 1WorldSports channel broadcasted one of vorobyov's games vs Jokerit. I was impressed. I can see what the Flyers scouts mean when they referred to him as a second round talent. I like his hustle to loose pucks. He wins a lot of puck battles, and he carries the puck well. Finds open teammates with ease. Needs to get quicker.

Not a lot of info on him, but Mikhail already doubled up on his last seasons KHL totals.
CUrrently in a game against Avtombilist, he has 2 assists (1st intermission).
He had 3G 2A +1 in 16GP heading into the match.

Big kid. Seems to be somewhat defensively responsible from the little bit I've seen of him.

3g, 4a, 7p, +3 in 17gp now in KHL season.

Has the 2nd most points amongst 'junior eligible' players in the league after line-mate Kaprizov.

Really impressive start to the season...

I'd like to see him as the Phantoms 1C next season.

Then Rubtsov can take over in 18-19.

His contract expires at the end of this season. I wonder if he would come over to play in the AHL next year. I find not many Russians go from the KHL to the AHL, they usually just make the jump to play in the NHL.
