I would guess somewhere around Hayes and Buch. If C-bus is going to move him, it isn't going to be for picks and prospects. They are going to need NHL players back with the state of their team.

I see places where he could be traded but I am not sure about the return from those teams. Another I thought about is Dallas.

Further explanation...Dallas really needs long term help at center. Spezza running out of gas and Hanzal had spinal fusion...may not play again, certainly out until January. On top of that Seguin is a year away from UFA.

So maybe (maybe) Hayes & #26 to Dallas for #13 and a good young prospect, perhaps Jason Robertson? Maybe they take a contract back as a sweetner.

Yes but when he does hit UFA, that's when the Rangers should be solid with an idea of what talent they currently have, at which point he fits.

If he's traded I doubt the team acquiring him makes the deal without an extension in place.

If you trade for Panarin (pending there's a contract extension in this), he IS part of your rebuild. He's not a 30 year old rental. He's the same age bracket as Kreider.
