Coyotes fan since: 2019. You remember me - I posted that Moving to AZ thread on the board here a couple years ago. It's cause of you all that I say the Coyotes community and I adopted each other. Y'all played just one small part in helping me move across country and change my life for the better. I'll always be thankful. :)
Favorite former Coyotes: Khabibulin and Doan.
Favorite current Coyotes: Garls and Kuemps.

My favorite shows are Star Trek TNG, New Girl, and Chopped.
My favorite bands are Incubus, Anberlin & August Burns Red.
My favorite food is anything Southwest or Italian. I cook a ton. I recently discovered the amazing double layer nachos at 18° Scottsdale. So f****** good.
Favorite movie is Orange County.
My hobbies include cooking, hiking, making music, and playing Magic the Gathering. I also enjoy being a dog dad.
It won't let me upload a selfie, but feel free to DM me for my Instagram. You can find me there. Pretty sure the only one on here I've met IRL so far is Grimes. Also, if you're ever at 18° Scottsdale and spot a dude at the bar wearing a white number 28 John Scott coyote sweater, that's me. Feel free to tap me on the shoulder and say hey! First beer on me. :)

Definitely this...it's funny how we just sort of assign rando faces in our head. Hell I honestly can't even describe the face I had assigned to rt but when I saw the selfie I thought...wait who is that...that's not rt. Humans are interesting creatures!
I can 100% describe him, he's a 6'4 biker looking guy, longer beard and hair, ginger, rides an Indian or some shit. I knew he wouldn't look like that but I read what he writes as if it was coming from that person.

You've always been a early 20's Asian American. I have no idea what your ethnic background is but in my head you're Asian.

Mosby is a 50 something upper management white dude.

Legend is a 20 year old kid, probably Mosby's son.

This also has nothing to do with anyone's writing style (except Mosby).

Favorite Non-Coyote: Hall, Eichel, Duke
Other Sports: Soccer

Favorite Cuisine/Restaurant/Dish: Indian or Italian. I like to cook, and spend a lot of time in the kitchen. Still not very good at it.

I'm bottling 15 gallons of bone dry, wild fermented cider in a few weeks. Hope to make it last through the summer but once it's chilled in the fridge it tends to disappear quickly.
This is so funny. I’ve been telling my wife for years that we’re going to move to rural Quebec, buy an apple orchard and make cider and applejack. She of course wants no part of this.

I did say I was a GenXer in the other thread...i am on the cusp of Boomer, but I definitely qualify as younger on the "did you ever spend all day watching music videos?" differentiating question. Definitely 80s, not 70s.

Name: Stuart
Age: 55 (Garland wears my high school grad year)
Age people guess if they don't know my age: 45
Height/Weight/Build: between Garland and Keller, but old
Occupation: Software Engineer
Currently residing in: Chandler, AZ
Hometown: Titusville, FL (home of Daniel Tosh and Cris Collinsworth)
Birthplace: Grand Forks, ND (after taking up hockey at 35, I'd kid my dad about ruining my hockey career by moving me to Florida aged 2)
Number of HFers met IRL: 4, I think. Maybe 5 or 6.

Coyotes fan since: 1996 (actually rooted for the Jets from 1981, obviously Florida didn't have a team, so I picked the team closest to my birth...I didn't care much, though, not a lot of coverage then)
Favorite All-Time Coyote: Daniel Briere (see ht/wt above)
Favorite Current Coyote: Conor Garland
Favorite Non-Coyote: mmmm....I dunno
Other Sports: have played many, follow many

Favorite Shows: since the dawn of streaming The Americans, Ozark, Get shorty, the IT Crowd, Bojack Horseman...Archer, Arrested Development

Get Shorty was such a good show! Forgot about that one. Also really like me the Americans. Did you ever see Moone Boy?

Funny story, though. I’m a product of a misspent youth and that busted nose you see is from being pistol whipped. Not from a biker, though. Haha. Just some stupid kid who thought he was a gangster.

Me too, hated that it got cancelled. Did you see the movie ending to the show, that they released a couple years ago?
I tried to watch it. But my wife hated it so I turned it off. She didn’t understand that trademark prose. Lol. She doesn’t tolerate much cursing/violence. I meant to watch it some other time but forgot. It’s back on the list now!

My apologies, Tokyo stop is in Tempe. I went there for lunch the other day and had it on my mind. Tokyo HOUSE is in Chandler (Alma School and Warner)

my favorite dish of all time is Katsudon. And theirs is pretty solid.

I wish we could grow some of the stuff up here that you can grow down there. Mango and guava in the back yard? Hell yeah!

For those of you that don't read, one thing you may not have considered is the sedative power of reading. Over 2 decades ago I started reading in bed at night. No matter how tired I am, I'll open whatever book is on the nightstand. Sometimes I'll read for a half-hour, and sometimes I barely get through the first page. As soon as my eyes can no longer focus and I find myself reading the same sentence over and over I know it's time to close the book, turn off the light and drift away. Also works for middle of the night insomnia. zzzzzzz

And reading hfboards on our phones doesn't count!
The light spectrum on the phone reminds our brains of daylight and blocks the production of sleep hormone (which is also a cancer fighting hormone).

Favorite Current Coyote: Garland and Dvo
Favorite Non-Coyote: Austin Matthews, Hedman, Svechnikov is getting up there too
Other Sports: Football (pro or college)

Favorite Cuisine/Restaurant/Dish: I'll eat just about anything. Been loving Northern Thai food since going to Night Market in L.A. Glai Baan is an excellent version of this in Phoenix. Bread Fruit is some great fancy Jamaican food with a great rum bar. A good pizza is a thing of beauty as well and have been enjoying them from Nellos since they opened.
Favorite Beverage: Adult: Two Hearted, Coors Light or whiskey (would love suggestions) Non-adult: Water and coffee

Favorite Shows: Twin Peaks (see avatar), most shows on HBO but Leftovers was a stand out from a couple years ago. Cheers or Last Man Standing if I need a comedy.

Favorite Movies: One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, There Will Be Blood, Adaptation, Heredity, Mulholland Drive

Favorite Bands/Musicians: All time - Brian Eno, Talking Heads, Big Star, Fugazi, Townes van Zandt. Current: Pharaoh Sanders, Necrot, Avo Part, Philip Glass, Undergang. I surprisingly do not listen to the artist Grimes all that much, but it is where my username came from. I just so happened to have her on while making my account not thinking she would ever get popular or, you know, marry Elon Musk.

I’ve got a pomegranate tree, a tangelo tree, a grapefruit tree a peach tree and a lemon tree in my backyard. One of my Nextdoor neighbors used my tangelo crop one year to make a spiced orange chocolate stout for the holidays. It was really good.
