Casey Mittelstadt has regained his scoring touch, so the Rochester Americans can feel good about that.
Sent down by the Buffalo Sabres after scoring just one goal in 22 games, the second-year centerman has goals in three straight with the Amerks, including one Wednesday night.
And that’s pretty much the end of the positives from a 4-3 shootout loss to the Binghamton Devils at Blue Cross Arena at the War Memorial.

it’s a good trait to have to make a spot in the nhl.

now if he wants a spot on Buffalo he’s going to need to learn to skate towards Mittelstadt in that situation.

The Amerks are in first place in the American Hockey League's North Division with a 18-4-2 record, a three-point lead over the Toronto Marlies.

Makes you wonder who's learning from who now in Rochester

They are 4-7-1 since he joined them. Its an infection. The injuries and failures at the NHL level are bleeding down the organization now, with callups gutting the Amerk structure and send downs gutting their effort and heart.
