Terrible take. We don’t have enough right handed shots as is - plus you don’t move Oshie.

Also, let’s not forget what kuzy can do when he cares. He put up 30+ points in playoffs and was a huge reason this team has a cup.

With Kuzy it’s motivation. That’s what it is with him. You don’t put him at wing. Especially when Backstrom is only getting older. Caps need Kuzy to be the number 1 center providing offense for years to come.

Agree. Terrible take. The Capitals are committed to being a heavy hockey team. I cant imagine there being any value at all in Kuzy being a regular F1 on a dump in forecheck. Meanwhile for the opposite reason you want Oshie on the wing. He is prototype F1. He hits hard and competes for pucks.

Kuzy's issue is desire and if he doesnt want to play center he sure as hell wont want to play wing for the Capitals.

also, backstrom and Oshie as top 2 line centers would make us ridiculously slow. Speed teams would have a field day matching up with us.

Oshie isnt a center. Period. For a reason. The Caps NEVER use him as a center to fill in for a center going down. For a reason. He takes pp face offs. Thats all the center he plays

Really irritated with Backstrom and Kuznetsov lately but at least we don't have Johansen and Duchene. They suck.

I do think there is potential for Kuznetsov to go back to right wing but not right now. It would be if moved on from Oshie and McMichael proves himself as a good 2c.

If we do face the Canes do you really think those 3 games vs the Rangers and then a week off gets them more prepared then the Caps schedule?

Lets talk about the power play without Carlson. Assuming Ov, Orlov, Backstrom, Kuznetsov and Oshie. Where do the shots and goals come from? How do you see that working best?

Orlov can’t make the fast one time pass to Ovie. By the time Orlov settles the puck and passes it the goalie has sniffed out the play.

Watching the Pens play right now, why do we not want to play them again?

Penguins out, yikes. Their fans should be terrified of what Rutherford will do now.

Also means that loser of the Caps Bruins game faces the Canes in first round.
