No he isn't. It may have given him some additional motivation, but he and Mantha are the only dangerous players on this team when they have the puck. No one else drives the net with the puck like they do (Larkin usually falls down before he can get thst far).

For a team struggling to hit 25 shots a game or 15% on the powerplay, benching high talent in favor of anyone else is silly.

that's probably the best period of hockey I've seen from the Wings this year. Other than AA, something that's standing out are the D stepping up and closing gaps - especially in the neutral zone.

whatever the reason, AA looked like trash the last few games he played. nice to see him stepping up in this one along with the rest of the team

When the new coach gets here I doubt AA will still be playing on the 4th line with Ott and Miller. Or playing 8 minutes (or not at all).
