Phaneuf -4 last night. Komarov +2 with 1g 1a.
yep 71% on the dot last night against Seguin , bird dogged him all night and kept him off the score sheet too I believe , Coach Ego tried to end his career by giving him to San Diego when he's still miles better than any 4th line center we have iced since .Crazy how Eric Fehr is a regular on the Wild
Because they are not better 4th line players in any way .Plus he plays for 1 million a year 1 year at a time with a smile on his face .Why do we need a guy in his mid thirties who produces zero offence on 3rd line minutes and an under 50% faceoff percentage when we have much younger players (Lindholm, Gauthier) who are better in almost every way?
Komarov
3G 6A +5
Martin
3G 1A +4
Bozak
3G 8A -5
Interesting time for a little check in:
Happy to see Uncle Leo and Matt Martin doing well. Seem to be really well received in NY. The sort of players that we should be looking for at the trade deadline.
At their contract price? 0% chance.
Bad contract though.Komarov now 3 points in 6 games. +3
Nice to see
Term may be a bit long, but he's just getting what he got in Toronto. Apparently there were multiple teams looking for him, so that pushed the price up.Bad contract though.
he's not doing all that well. scoring chances are 152-220 with him on the ice (40%). and didn't you say scoring chances were the most important criteria to look at in the thread about the Leafs defense?Sure. I noted that they would be the "Sort"... not saying specifically bringing them back. 4 year term for Komarov is just too long.
However, with all the unwarranted crap he took here... it's nice to see him doing well.
I sometimes find these stats odd.he's not doing all that well. scoring chances are 152-220 with him on the ice (40%). and didn't you say scoring chances were the most important criteria to look at in the thread about the Leafs defense?
in terms of winning games? goals, definitely. In terms of tracking his performance and anticipating how his play might look in the future? scoring chancesI sometimes find these stats odd.
Not doing well in "scoring chances" with him on the ice (I assume that is 5-on-5).
On the other hand, goals with him on the ice is different. 27 goals for (fourth best on the team), and only 14 against (second best).
Which do you think is more important - scoring chances or goals?
We'll, it's just another season where some of the numbers, and 'experts', are saying he's going to be terrible, and just another season where he isn't.in terms of winning games? goals, definitely. In terms of tracking his performance and anticipating how his play might look in the future? scoring chances

Not talking about this thread, but funny to see how the 'Egocock screwed over Josh Leivo' comments have pretty much stopped since his hot start in Vancouver.
