What has everyone been up to?

Matt Martin, currently in 6th on Isles's scoring with 1 goal. Is a +2. His 12 hits put him 11th in the NHL.
He's currently at 2.11 points per 60. Good enough to be 8th for the NYI ...or the Leafs. Last season, he finished at 1.80 which was good enough for 10th highest points per 60 on the Leafs.

Leo Komarov, currently in 8th on Islander's scoring with 1 asssist. +1. His 10 hits put him 20th in the NHL.
Both have one Takeaway, no giveaways.

JVR is out five to six weeks with a lower-body injury after being hit with a shot in the first period of his 2nd game. Has been on for 19:12 of ice-time total and had an assist in their season opener. Is a +1

Tyler Bozak and the Blues have only played two games. One assist against Winnipeg, -3 against Chicago. Is only seeing 28 seconds more even-strength ice per game then Josh Leivo so far.

Connor Carrick has managed to get three secondary assists, two against Arizona, one against Winnipeg. He was a +3 until facing the Leafs, which dropped him to a +1 on the season. 5th for ice-time among defensemen.

Roman Polak is currently tied with Komarov with 10 hits on the season and is leading the Stars in that category. 6th on team for ice-time among defensemen.

..and a little further back.

Matt Hunwick is currently on Injured Reserve with a neck issue for the Buffalo Sabres. He wasn't able to participate in training camp. Perhaps the weather is nice on Robias Island?

Nikita Soshnikov. Suffered a concussion during off-season training. Is on St.Louis's Injured reserve list,
hasn't played.

Ben Smith. Playing for Adler Mannheim of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. Leading the team in scoring with 2 goals, 7 assists and is a +2 in 9 games.

Brian Boyle. Playing 4th line minutes for New Jersey. They've only played 1 game which has nothing worth mentioning other then he threw a hit and didn't even take a face-off.

Peter Holland. Signed by Montreal, wasn't good enough, traded to the Rangers. Goal and an assist in three games with the Hartford Wolf Pack.

Milan Michalek. Done.

JVR, Bozak, and Komarov have been dubbed Judas 1, Judas 2, and Judas 3.
Not sure why you would say that. Isles fans are calling JT 'Judas', because he led them to believe he would resign with them, as they wanted. JvR, Bozak, and Komarov were all intentionally let go, as management didn't want them.

Completely different situations.

So for roughly 3/4 the cap hit of the above, Tavares, Kapanen, our bottom pairing, Lievo and Lindholm are providing more than twice the production so far. Sounds like good management to me.

Calvin Pickard.

1-0 in 1 game with a 4.03 GAA and .886 save percentage.

Stat watching with goalies does not tell the full story. If I recall correctly from watching the highlights, 1 of those goals I believe he should have had.

And to add context. The Flyers played San Jose the night before, they lost 8-2, Eillott allowed all 8 goals and NONE of them were his fault. The Flyers defense is garbage. For a goalie to allow 8 goals and none of them be their fault is crazy.
