Don't get me wrong, I HATE the new stadium. For me, getting to my seat is the easy part, but I generally head in fairly early to avoid the crowd at the security gate. Generally, about 40-45 minutes before kick-off, I leave the car and start walking in. Getting out is the real P.I.A. Taking the steps after a close game, it is only a matter of time before someone falls, then the people below them go down like dominos and there is a huge problem. I miss the escalators of Giants Stadium that took you right to the upper, middle, or lower tier. Now, I go in, go up the escalator, then have to walk to get the escalators to the upper deck. It is obvious there intention was to increase foot traffic in the 100 level concourse to increase food and merchandise sales. Last year, I went to 8 of the 10 games. Missed one of the pre-season and Carolina. In the 8 games, bought a total of 6 bottles of water and one ice-cream for my daughter at the pre-season game. Bottle of water breakdown was 3 at the pre-season game, and 3 at the home opener against the Flacons. When designing the place, they forgot that people tailgate at football games and are much LESS likely to buy food inside than basketball or hockey games.
I was originally offered club seats with a 7500 PSL and then 400 each on game tickets. Laughed at them and laughed even harder when the rep said that I could sell games for whatever amount I wanted to recoup my costs. I told him at 400 each, there is no room for profit. But yes, even $4000 is too much. $1,000 wasn't so bad. I bought from a friend, he had 14 tickets and my brothers and I bought 6 (2 each). Getting the pre-season games is annoying, but at least they changed the price on those. What we might do this year is sell a package, both pre-season games and the dallas game for $250 each. My seats are $105 for regular season and $53 for pre-season.
