Haha.First thing McIlrath should do is lay out Tarasenko. That would be hilarious.
Lay out Tarasenko, go down and fire a slapper by Allen, skate by the camera and shout "suck it, Fowler!".

Wait, what happened to Ryan McDonagh? Blues fan asking.
Disappointing to hear he's out for a month. He's one of my favorite non-Blues players in the league.
Separated shoulder from a hit by E Kane
That's rough. Hope he makes a full recovery.
Tarasenko is a borderline star in this league
McIlrath can beat him into a bloody pulp
We chose the right player guys
Stastny and Oshie are out for the Blues so it's pretty much even. The Blues players have also been fighting off a flu lately. Against Anaheim we missed Stastny, Backes, Oshie and Lindstrom and still managed to win so it's not like you guys can't do it on home ice. Blues have 4 straight wins against Dallas, Chicago, Anaheim and Colorado which is kind of surprising due to the injuries and the flu going around.
But can he do it on a cold rainy night at stoke?
home ice is not as big of an advantage for the rangers as you'd think...
but it should be an even game
Calling a McIlrath/Reaves scrap

Honestly hope they don't. If McIlrath doesn't scrap tomorrow, but still plays a tough, defensive game, it would go a long way towards showing that he's matured.
I think it'll happen, and it won't be a staged fight.
Reeves will take a run at one of the D, possibly Staal, and McIlrath will challenge him.
Totally okay with Reeves taking a run at Kostka though.

Stastny is better than Stepan and you dont have an answer for Oshie. Backes coming of a concussion, Lindstrom and Bouwmeester just had the flu and missed games/practice. But sure you miss some good defensemen.
if McIlrath wants to be taken seriously as a NHL defenseman, he shouldn't be wasting his time fighting.
Hes not a 4th liner, hes a defenseman who will be relied upon to play a regular shift. If he has to fight to be valueable, then hes not valueable.
Fighting and intimidation are part of why he is valuable. Lucic is the same way. Same as any true power forward
What is AV thinking by starting Talbot in this game? Is Lundqvist possibly nursing something behind the scenes?
Id think it is common sense with only two regulars on D and your first line center missing to start your elite goaltender to attempt to scrap out a point or two...
Sounds like a decision Deboer would make.
