Wait, what happened to Ryan McDonagh? Blues fan asking.

Disappointing to hear he's out for a month. He's one of my favorite non-Blues players in the league.

Stastny and Oshie are out for the Blues so it's pretty much even. The Blues players have also been fighting off a flu lately. Against Anaheim we missed Stastny, Backes, Oshie and Lindstrom and still managed to win so it's not like you guys can't do it on home ice. Blues have 4 straight wins against Dallas, Chicago, Anaheim and Colorado which is kind of surprising due to the injuries and the flu going around.

home ice is not as big of an advantage for the rangers as you'd think...

but it should be an even game

When you're down such important pieces, having the 2nd change can mean a ton. If they put out your top line, you want to be able to put out your top d-men. It's more significant than usual.

Because making a decision as to who won that draft when the kids are only 21 years old is really brilliant.

Honestly hope they don't. If McIlrath doesn't scrap tomorrow, but still plays a tough, defensive game, it would go a long way towards showing that he's matured.

I think it'll happen, and it won't be a staged fight.

Reeves will take a run at one of the D, possibly Staal, and McIlrath will challenge him.

Totally okay with Reeves taking a run at Kostka though.

Kostka played a solid game last night. While I'm not a fan of him being in the lineup, if he keeps it simple and doesn't get jittery like he did against the Piles, we could really use him right now.

You're not going to find a top 4 D in a 30 team league that will sit in the 8th spot for 500K. Kostka is fine for what he is.

Really genius to hope for injury on a guy we really need right now, unless you're a proponent of starting a 2nd pairing AHL D-Man.

Reaves took an elbow to the head from Mitchell during the Blues/Avs game and didn't return. Possible concussion on a dirty play. Don't know if he plays vs the Rangers or not.

if McIlrath wants to be taken seriously as a NHL defenseman, he shouldn't be wasting his time fighting.

Hes not a 4th liner, hes a defenseman who will be relied upon to play a regular shift. If he has to fight to be valueable, then hes not valueable.

Stastny is better than Stepan and you dont have an answer for Oshie. Backes coming of a concussion, Lindstrom and Bouwmeester just had the flu and missed games/practice. But sure you miss some good defensemen.

Lol, it's not remotely even. We are missing 4 of our top 6 D-Men and will be icing 2 full time AHL D-Men and 2 borderline NHL level players. Not to mention our 1st line C.

You don't have an answer for any of those D-Men missing. Just because Bo and Lindstrom had the sniffles doesn't bring it remotely close to being on par with our guys.

Our injury issues are far worse then yours. It's not even remotely close.

Fighting and intimidation are part of why he is valuable. Lucic is the same way. Same as any true power forward

Yea, I don't really understand why people are freaking out. If he has a fight, he has a fight. If he doesn't, he doesn't. What I care about most is if he plays a strong, smart, defensive game.

Some people are leaning too far in each direction of the fight category. Stages fights are moronic, but beyond that, if they happen, they happen.

What is AV thinking by starting Talbot in this game? Is Lundqvist possibly nursing something behind the scenes?

Id think it is common sense with only two regulars on D and your first line center missing to start your elite goaltender to attempt to scrap out a point or two...

Sounds like a decision Deboer would make.

Eh, it's not the dumbest decision he's ever made. Though I'm for sure questioning it.

Rangers have 15 games this month. Need to get Talbot some starts. Hank's played every game to this point anyway.

Talbot is a really good goalie. I wouldnt look to much into the stats just yet.
He was pretty darn solid last season in the games he played
