A fairly easy one to look up but please resist the urge.

All-time leading scorers who never played a single game during Wayne Gretzky's career (before and after).

Crazy guess and only because of the "after" thing - Joe Thornton?

I would have guessed Mikita and Beliveau first :)

Edit: Nope, looks like I wasn't close

Not Thornton. He started his career while Gretz was still playing.

For clarification, I am asking for the leader of all players as of the end of the 78/79 season, assuming anyone that played in 79/80 or beyond never existed. I am ALSO asking for the all-time leading scorer if the NHL began (or re-started) in the 99/00 season, and anyone that played before that never existed.

Wow, I'm surprised Brad Richards was the answer to that question. Didn't even cross my mind. I was thinking Sedins, Kovalchuk, or Heatley.

Felt like this was a good question to ask. Without looking it up, name every Hart winner who played with Paul Coffey, not necessarily in the same season

Fedorov is another. And Thornton must be one. I don't know who the last one is though. He was international teammates with Sakic, but I'm assuming that doesn't count.

I'm only talking about NHL teams.

Here is a hint. The last player won the Hart before Gretzky's rookie season
