not sure on BBQ in Cary, or at least not Carolina style BBQ. There's Danny's over by Waverly Place that (at least IMO) is extremely underrated. There's also Dickey's and Remmington Grill not far from the Ale House or Buck's Billiards at Crossroads... at least I'm fairly sure both are at Crossroads, I know Remmington Grill is for sure. All 3 are more generic BBQ though, with Remmington and Dickey's both being chains either nationally or regionally. Don't think any of the 3 have TVs though.

I've been pleased with Danny's when I went to the one in Morrisville, which is closer to my part of Cary than Waverly.

Beyond that, I agree with DaveG that nothing else jumps to mind for Carolina style BBQ in Cary itself, especially south Cary. And nothing jumps to mind for a sports bar with Carolina style BBQ either. I know Carolina Ale House doesn't do pulled pork as a regular menu item; not sure about Tyler's.

Tyler's does but not in the typical Carolina BBQ fashion IIRC. They have nachos loaded with Carolina BBQ and their queso dip, absolutely delicious.

Correct. It's not Eastern style BBQ, more like WNC or Texas with a tomato base. TBH, I just load up on the Foothills Seeing Double first and then I really don't care.

You guys are making me so jealous I don't live in State anymore.

The BBQ up here isn't bad at all, but you cannot compare to good Eastern Style. People who make coleslaw with mayo instead of vinegar should be shot

Danny's is solid, and Dickey's is also pretty good. Both are close enough to Cary that they might as well be there.

I've never really thought about it, but it's kind of weird how BBQ restaurants seem to stop at the Cary town line.

I've never understood why anyone puts vegetable matter on their BBQ anyway.

Hole #3: Don't test the water. It's not warm.
Hole #4: There's a lot more room near the hole for your second shot than it will appear.
Hole #9: Don't try to fade around the dogleg on your tee shot. Hit it straight out there.
Hole #12: Good luck.
Hole #15: Better to err right than left.
Hole #18: If you have a long hook, great, but there's more room to hit straight than it may appear.

Crooked Creek wasn't that tough :D , I was on #12 in two(from the whites though) made Birdie . We had a great day there, great course for our varying levels.

We had to come in for 30 mins when the lightning started about the only hiccup during our stay.

Devil's Ridge was very impressive, beautiful property.

Nachos were fantastic, good call.

We had a great time in the Cary area, great people and a beautiful place to visit.

I had some pulled pork at a place in Missouri over the weekend that was supposed to be pretty good. It was pathetic. Dry, bland, and with horrible sauce.

Disclaimer: This criticism does not extend to their ability to cook up some fine ass ribs

I love Memphis ribs man, but St Louis can do some pretty badass ribs in their own right. Nobody in the area really goes for either style anymore after O Briens in Durham closed.

I wish we had a Sticky Fingers in the Triangle. Red Hot and Blue is crap. About the best ribs you can find here are Texas Roadhouse's.
