It has nothing to do with “deserve”
In football it kind of does, when the score is close or tied and other stats are close too.

If crossing a ball into the box is all it takes to be considered a chance then there are awhile lot more chances then people give soccer credit for. Again if Pique keeps his arm down like happens 99% of the time Russia isn’t close to scoring. Relying on the opposition making a moronic play isn’t creating a chance in my view.

Spain goal was even more lucky.
No, that isn't even what the quote you pasted says. The Argentine's arm is in a natural position and it deflects off of his own head. It's clearly not a penalty. Pique has his arm over his head attempting to take up space and he interferes with a scoring opportunity from the opposition. You ignored or missed the point. The plays aren't comparable and it's obvious."However, if a player’s arm is in an unnatural position, for example outstretched or above their head, then a foul should be awarded whether accidental or not."
Above head or outstretched hand are both penalized the same way.
How is this much different than the Argentina Nigeria penalty that wasn't called. No intention to play the ball with the hand, pique wasn't even facing the ball and it hit his arm.
For the record, I think they're both penalties, but a lot of people in that thread thought the Argentina one wasn't.
Did you see Spain’s goal?
Yes
The goal in which a defender had to tackle Ramos to prevent him from tapping it into the empty net?
I saw that one.
Are you saying the Russian didn’t tackle Ramos?
I’m saying if it wasn’t for his moronic play it might not have been a goal.
Who knows?
Better defenders have tackled better.
Both goals were the result of bad defending.
Spain would win all the Possession Soccer World Cups. It won't be even close. If possession was important they would use that to decide games instead of goals scored.
