It would be very hard to move his contract. I cant imagine any GM thinking Zaitsev is worth more than 1 million aka 6-7th dman, let alone 4.5 per year for 5 more seasons. Zaitsev doesn't even look for short outlet passes anymore, its off the boards into the neutral zone to the opposing defenseman. After his concussion he is very timid retrieving pucks and lost alot of the edge he had in his rookie year. Lou dishing that contract out after that sample size is baffling.
