Who gives a crap if he's good in NLA? I can now go on the NHL board and claim that Shipachev is a great player who just chose the wrong team to go to in the NHL but that doesn't matter. He failed and run back to Russia, he's not good enough, that's all everyone knows. End of story. You gotta execute on the highest of levels and if you can't then you're not good.

That has nothing to do with this. Every beer leaguer can hit an almost empty net from inside the slot.

Really? Both seemed like stick jolts into the mid-section.

No. One was a perfectly placed spear, up through the side of the jock straight to the testicles. The other was a player lightly placing his stick in to a guys stomach area

1 open net miss = bad player

So, back to the real question, how is that called in the rulebook? Because there is no call worded as "lightly placing his stick in to a guys stomach area".

Should have been a 5'. Refs haven't helped us in this game...but we can't complain. We killed ourselves with that stupid too many men we took early in the 2nd. That was the beginning of the end. Powerplay has been the difference. Our PK was good but our PP wasn't. Good game from our part...much better than expected after all those injury concerns and Hollenstein starting. Not quite enough though.

Nobody says he's a bad player. But every time somebody misses an open net, it's the question of skill. What are you even arguing about? If Steve Stamkos misses a goal from two meters it's still him having not being skilled enough in that particular situation. Doesn't mean he's a bad player. Jesus.

That and the PP was missing today.

Well that’s not what he’s saying. By his logic Stamkos wouldn’t truly be a good player if he missed.
