I don't know how they do 3 on 3 defensive coverage, but I'm willing to bet that was McCann's man.

Edit: Simon didn't cover his man which caused McCann to cover Simon's man, which left McCann's man wide open in the slot. So I'm not sure who to blame there.

Simon had more than enough time to get his stuff together he even looks once and still pursues the wrong guy.

Welp, I think Jarry has the backup spot and JJ hasn’t been pried out of the 6D spot yet. ZAR vs Simon and the 7D are still unknown.

The 6 starting defense for Game 1 of the regular season barring 0 injuries:
- Dumo/Letang/Pets/Schultz/JJ/Guds (HS: Riikola) (Waived: Ruh) (To WBS: Marino)

The 12th/13th forward
- ZAR will start. Simon will sit. Laff will go to WBS.

Backup Goalie
- This is tough... I'm going w/ Jarry gets the nod, DeSmith waived.

I think they will try to sneak DeSmith through waivers (a few goalies have made it through.) Jarry should get the nod and I believe it saves us some cap space. ZAR over Simon I can't see, but who knows? I don't love Simon, but I like him better than ZAR

I think all the goalies have been really good. I believe Jarry costs less, and that's why he would be getting the nod over DeSmith.

He has. And against the NHL shooters, too. He had an insane save or two tonight.

They've both looked pretty good. I think you get a bit more upside with Jarry and DeSmith could probably sneak through waivers while camp is still happening. Having Jarry over DeSmith I think helps our Cap by a few hundred thousand too so that is a factor
