I mean, there's zero chance someone doesn't miss major time by the end of the calendar year (Letang or Schultz, who's going first?), so if he's decent in the AHL he'll be back before you know it.

The problem is that Jarry is going up a pretty consistent and established backup goalie. He's in a position where he needs to be making those kind of saves to make the team.

His problem there was much more the “hmmmmm, now where’s the puck?” before the shot. He found it as it was being shot.

Miracle saves?

He's going up against DeSmith, he needs to be better than what he has been in the preseason to beat out DeSmith (who has also been good in the preseason). He needs to be making those kind of stops on those great scoring chances to beat out DeSmith.

That also wasn't required to be a miracle save, either. Just because the shot went top corner doesn't mean it required a miracle to stop that. He was too deep in his crease (clearly in the blue paint) and looked off his angle from the clip I'm looking at.
