Sorry to bud in..

Bud didn't Eller and Briere have an incident a few years back??

If so, I wonder if this will have an impact..

Ideally we need a left wing power forward and mean SOB stand at home d man but I'll be happy if MB trades DD & Gionta between now and the playoffs.

I don't recall if there's any. The only one I recall is Doan calling Brisebois french frog.

Yes, but Plekanec and Briere had an incident last year.

Both off of faceoffs...

Don't worry we usually have Subban busy fighting with teammates as well so he'll take the attention away from Briere :sarcasm:

That's right.. Well we have our own Subban in Vancouver now, and by the looks of it, he is a copy of his brothers personality...

Galchenyuk-Eller-Gallagher
(I really think Eller needs top 6 minutes, his points total have increased every year.)

Bourque-Plekanec-Gionta/Briere
(MT won't mess up what still works, heard Gionta out until November, Briere would fit)

Pacioretty-Desharnais-Leblanc
(There's room for Leblanc this year if he can crack the lineup)

White-Prust-Moen/Parros

Subban-Tinordi
Markov-Gorges
Boullion-Diaz

I can only do this to start the season, as who knows what will happen come January...or even after the OG (considering injuries), I have:

Bourque-Pleks-Gionta
Pacioretty-DD-Briere
Galchenyuk-Eller-Gallagher
Prust-White-Moen

Markov-Subban
Gorges-Diaz
Bouillon-Tinordi/Drewiske

But seriously, we won't see much change to the line-up, except the Brière/Ryder swap.

Bourque-Pleks-Gio worked great last season, Desharnais gets another good shooter on his line, real grit on the fourth line and we have a real interesting third line.

For the defense, a mobile Diaz fully recovered will work really well with Markov I think, otherwise I wouldn't be opposed to play Subban and Markov together as they did in the playoffs, as long as we let Markov off the box play duties.

I'm scared of that defence. Not in a good way.

I would like to see 3 good offensive line

Patches-Plekanec-Gallagher
Galchenyuk-Eller-Briere
Bourque-Desharnais-Gionta(would be better if DD/Gionta would be trade for someone bigger)
Prust-White-Moen/Parros

Tinordi-Subban
Markov-Emelin
Gorges-Diaz

/Bouillon/Drewiske

Since Gionta is injured any chance Collberg start the season in Montreal even with his SEL contract? If not is Leblanc the best bet to start the season in Montreal?
I would love to get Hanzal from Phoenix, would DD +1st be enough ? maybe add a prospect?

I can see Leblanc or Thomas getting a stint to start the year. Don't forget that we have Dumont as well, though, and Prust playing on the third is no handicap. I think that's the more likely scenario.

Don't we enough midget in our team right now? serious question. Any information about Gionta and the possibility of him starting the season at times?

This is actually the forward lineup I hope to see. But I fear we will see:

Bourque - Plekanec - Gionta
Pacioretty - Desharnais - Briere
Galchenyuk - Eller - Gallagher
Moen - White - Prust

For our team to continue to progress we need Galchenyuk, Eller, and Gallagher to all get bigger roles (more minutes and offensive opportunities). IMO, the lineup you have listed gives them that opportunity.

I can't imagine us going into this season as is, but assuming that is the case i think we're looking at the following:

Max Pacioretty-Tomas Plekanec-Brendan Gallagher
Rene Bourque-David Desharnais-Daniel Briere
Alex Galchenyuk-Lars Eller-Brian Gionta
Brandon Prust-Ryan White-Travis Moen
ex. George Parros

Jarred Tinordi-PK Subban
Andrei Markov-Josh Gorges
Francis Bouillon-Raphael Diaz
ex. Davis Drewiske
