With Pacioretty, Murray, Bourque (flu), Parros being out it really is crucial that some of these young kids step up and play well in their absence. However, obviously Holland hasn't been called up so I'm not sure they'll do, maybe go with 7 defense and rotate through the 4th line.

That's right. Though Desharnais is pretty horrible at everything else, he does have a high hockey IQ and, as horrible as it may sound, I think he'd have an easier time keeping up to Galchenyuk than Plekanec has based on his familiarity with other highly-skilled wingers. Concentrating our exploitation line and making sure that our other three lines are responsible defensively. Might even up DD's trade value if he produces.
