Proposal: Possible Trades?

Devils need to do something quick....If at any point of the season Steve Bernier is your second leading goal scorer, you've got some problems.

bernier does have 80 goals in his career. his career hasn't taken the path anyone expected, but he has more skill than your average 4th line grinder. it's not unheard of for a guy like him to be one of a team's best players for 4 or 5 game stretches.

i do agree though, we can't expect the bottom six and clarkson to win us every game. kovy and elias need to contribute more on the score sheet and we need the power play to get going if we're going to contend this season.

somehow i just don't expect any significant move to be made during the season. maybe at most trading one of our d-men for a third liner and a draft pick or something.

Wild fans say they would do Seto + 2nd for Volchenkov and if we take 1 million of his salary we get a 3rd . Sounds pretty good to me . If only this guy was the Wild GM. Then we put Seto in the Top 6, and flip a 2nd or 3rd for 3rd line forward.

The way Tampa is playing, I'd be shocked if they move anyone, but their defense does leave something to be desired looking at the lineup. If anyone's availabe from their forward corps, it's definitely him.

I personally wouldnt mind him if its for cheap. Again I think every team in the league would risk it if its cheap. However, his past history is also a major turnoff for me.

Lou on the other hand wouldn't cause he's a "me, myself and I" type of individual (or so it seems) and looks to be a **** disturbor cause he thinks he's on the same level as Wayne "Orr" Lemieux.

If that's not the case and he's actually a solid individual, like IK, then I'd send someone to Siberia ASAP to scout him and call Poile to offer him Tedenby and Corrente

Hes a great player, but everything that surrounds him is just not very appealing to me. Maybe Kovy could keep him in check . Maybe a change of scenery is what he needs. It could be completely possible that he just doesnt like Nashville. Heck of a player, but not sure if it warrants everything else that comes with him
