Honestly, we look like junk every year to start.

I’ve always felt the first twenty games or so are completely useless in telling what teams will be. If we go 10-8-2 I’ll be more then happy.

I’m just glad we aren’t out of it. I still believe this team has the talent to be scary

Calgary has been without its second most important d-man in Hammer, the system is still being refined, Smith has been playing erratically, the lines are still being juggled to get the best results, and a very difficult October schedule and despite all this the Flames are only 4 points out of first in the Western conference.

Life is good.

I've been watching and following hockey for far too long.

I think it was Sportsnet who did the article on the league's top 20 centres and Monahan wasn't on the list. We didn't have anyone on the list.

We have one winger who's top ten on his side, and maybe top 15-20 overall.

We have one top 10 D man.

Then we have a cluster of middle of the road and lower end talent. An argument could be Tkachuk might be a top 20 power forward sooner than later, or something.

And we have our feet firmly planted in this group. Our rebuild supposedly happened. I know I know we have a lot of young D.

I just think we're already immersed in a maybe decade long or more cycle of being a bubble or worse team.

I think it’s still far to early for this attitude (in general not directed at you). We’ve seen how this team looks when they are firing and they can be damn dangerous. Hang in there stud.
