Montreal can still trade him I believe. I would see if anyone would offer more than a 1st and 3rd. If no takers I would offer KK term (maybe something like $4.5 Million over four years). I would not sign that offer sheet. Carolina can pay $6 million for KK and we will take the picks (maybe flip the picks for a second line center).
Perso I think KK is an idiot for accepting this offer. 1 year! I think he shot himself in the foot.
KK trade value is nothing if we match because he can't be traded. I agreeKK trade value is low after the signature . Let him go
- KK is untradable for 12 months.
- one year contract is not negociable
- QO next year needs to be 6.1M
He's still an RFA next summer and has a minimum qualifying offer of 6M at 22...He'll be fine.

I think the Window is missed. KK is not a Habs unless they match the offer.Edit: I just realized now's the perfect time to include him in an Eichel package. Buffalo can even choose if they want picks or match the contract
What he meant is that Bergy can now reach out to Buffalo and say "hey, do you want KK at 1 year 6M as part of the package for Eichel, or a 1st and a 3rd?"I think the Window is missed. KK is not a Habs unless they match the offer.
Aaah, alright. I thought we could still trade him before the 7 days are up.I think the Window is missed. KK is not a Habs unless they match the offer.

Yes. But for reasons.
Match it, trade KK as part of an Eichel offer.
