Bottom pairing defensemen are pretty easy to come by.
The Leafs really can't be greedy with an asking price.
He's not going to be in management's long term, or likely even medium term plans. A 3/4th round pick is better than nothing.
Not that many bottom pairing defensemen traded last deadline. Besides the big names, it was mostly a bunch of #6/7s. It's a seller's market.
