You can modify those agreements. You just have to go back to court. This is pretty common with how fluid job markets are. They’ll probably need to agree to pay travel expenses and set dates the kid is required to be in MN, since they’re causing the move.
I’m guessing they’ve used this as a hardship reason with the Wild to try to avoid a trade, but it’s workable in reality. Plus she doesn’t have to actually “live” outside of MN if he’s traded.
