In baseball, probably the best. Only other really great free agent signing I can remember is JD Martinez and that was last season and can opt out.

The best year Bryce ever had in his MVP season they failed to make the playoffs. This isn't suprising. They added Corbin and have Soto and Robles who they didn't have last time they made it.

Showalter has been a manager for 20 years and has only made the playoffs five times. Granted, there were some bad teams in there, but what about a Showalter hire screams, "yeah, we got this one going in the right direction?"

It will be Showalter, and my interest in the Phillies will continue to fade. Didn't attend a single game last season even with Harper there. Not paying to watch that pitching staff.

The phillies already have Girardi's pal as bench coach, although it was rumored that he really wants the Mets job.

Rumors about the Angles possibly being the front runner to land Cole. He's going to get paid and with all the miles on that arm, it's likely not going to be pretty in those final years assuming he gets at least 6 years.

Sounds like Bohm and Howard have been crushing the AFL, along with Seabold who's really come on as one of their top pitching prospects. Going to be very interesting to see what their plans are for Bohm and Howard next year.

Bohm, Howard, and Seabold will also be playing in the Olympic qualifiers next month. No offseason.

Girardi is supposed to manage that team.
