I'm not sure what Pete Rose did was worse.

The MLB has guys who were known KKK members or of some association in the HoF right? There’s certainly guys in there who wouldn’t employ non-whites.

In general I really don’t know why any of these things in all sports take such a high horse stance when there’s known bad guys in all of them various reasons. There’s probably a fair amount of guys who have skeletons in their closet too that the public doesn’t even know about.

All-time greats too. Cobb, Hornsby, and Speaker were supposedly members. Cap Anson was one of the key people keeping African Americans out of baseball in the 19th century.

If you've ever seen the recent book that refuted the Cobb rumors, what you might not know is that the writer was funded by the Cobb family. Convenient, huh?

Yeah I’m not advocating for them to be removed. They’re so far removed from today it doesn’t really matter at this point. The game doesn’t really honor or mention them these days anyway even if it’s on that alone.

I just don’t get the approach for holding others out for some moral reasons.

Good, **** 'em.

Holy moly. With all the hype about severity of the punishment I didn't think it would be this serious. That's no joke. Sign stealing has always been a part of baseball, but not to the extent that these guys were doing it. Good on the MLB for laying the hammer down. Now if only they would have done this for steroids...

This is where we’re going to have the exact opposite reaction.

With all of the talk about severity this is a slap on the wrist.
