I mean, I'd be almost thrilled if that's how the draft fell in the first 3 picks.

I'd probably rather take Waddle at 15 since the injury to Farley terrifies me, but I can't hate.
My thought was the difference between Farley and a CB with the second pick is bigger than Waddle and a WR with the second pick.

Have you looked into Jaelan Phillips any more?

He rules. I'd take him before Rousseau without thinking twice. I have Phillips, Paye, and Oweh all on the same tier. Oweh's the riskiest of the 3 from an on the field standpoint.

He also has injury issues, so I can't speak to those. Brugler's specifically said they may cause him to fall. He actually retired a few years ago because of concussions.

When the Dolphins get more for #6 than the Eagles...

Highly unlikely. That was a massive overpay by the Dolphins, Eagles won that trade any way you look at it. Dolphins traded 2 first round picks (#12 and 2022) to draft a WR or TE. You make that kind of trade for a QB, not for those positions.

In a vacuum I agree that we got better value, but Miami may be banking on another team trading even more to them for a QB at 6. We'll see!

Fun fact of the day:
  • Since 2015, only 2 WRs drafted in the 1st round have made the Pro Bowl (Amari Cooper, Justin Jefferson).
  • Since 2015, there have been 8 CBs drafted in the 1st that have made the Pro Bowl.

May be the move to take the CB at 12 rather than Smith/Waddle

I’m still dying over this. There had to be some players/coaches in both dugouts confused as hell as to who Howie even is.

The Eagles games are probably going to be wild this year. As I realistically don’t see the team doing anything to get fans to back off their animosity towards Howie & this organization.

Completely random, but i was taking a look at some of the best teams in NFL history. The Eagles in 2002 was a great team, their point differential was 174. That was with a backup quarterback for 6 games. That was one that got away. Tampa Bay was great but Andy coached scared. Got an interception up 7 around the 50 early and bottled it.

2003 was rough too. Started 0-2 and then went on a 12-2 run. I think they won like 8 or 9 in a row as well. 4th and 26 seemed like destiny was on their side...

The 2001 team was good too. In regards to 2003, Westbrook got hurt the last game of the year on a Saturday night in Washington. Basically killed their chances.
