In other news the Pete's win in Hamilton. Actually played very well. One of their best games of the year imo.
I don't know if anyone else caught it, but the Hamilton play by play guys called McTavish - 'McIntosh'.... I got a good kick out of it for some reasonIn other news the Pete's win in Hamilton. Actually played very well. One of their best games of the year imo.
Yeah I did hear that.I don't know if anyone else caught it, but the Hamilton play by play guys called McTavish - 'McIntosh'.... I got a good kick out of it for some reason
My gosh that was tough to watch lolWhose shootout performance did you like better, JPJ or Tye Austin?

absolutely agree, we just keep pissing away crucial pointsHow important to do you think being 1st in the East vs 3rd in the East is?
We're going to lose Jones for sure and maybe Robertson/Chisholm/SDA for a month at WJ. Afraid Ottawa will pull away from us in that month and we finish 3rd. That would mean on the road in round 2 @ SBY and then would be on the road round 3 @ OTT. I dont love that in a year where you need to win
Only way to combat that is go get a stopgap or two. Preferably a goalie (Langevin?) and one of the F's you're trying to get at the deadline, pay a little extra and get him a month early. Hillis or McShane or someone like that who wont make Canada WJ but is an elite player

The D on this team (Chisholm aside) aren't exactly built for 3 on 3 either. Did they only use Chisholm and Paquette? No Maier?Jones 0 for 3 in OHL vs Russia shoot-out
Austin 0 for 3 in Kingston shoot-out
Look on the bright side........no shoot-outs in the playoffs!
amazing how Robertson being out has effected the PP...other than the niagara game where they went 3/5 last 5 games they have gone 2/21

Exactly. they're setting McTavish up for the exact same thing that they set up Robertson for. They need to change it up a little bit because PKers have caught onThey overpass on the powerplay. Chisholm just needs to fire some wristers from the point and let Gallant out battle someone inevitably younger and weaker than him for the rebound while Kirk and McTavish crash the net. They're looking for the perfect backdoor one-timer to McTavish and teams are prepared for that.

Looks like a McTavish-Gallant-Hinz line tonight, curious what that means for the other lines.

McTavish 2nd to 17yo import, Oliver Suni and McTavish has player 4 fewer games
Avon and Robertson both looking really good to me. McTavish numbers speak for themselves. What a draft by Oke this year.Avon looked better tonight. Drove the puck to the net, had some good breakouts. Hes looking more comfortable with the puck.
If he had to go in a trade to upgrade this season, having a guy like Robertson who is playing like a 1st rounder makes it easier. Robertson could have had 3 goals tonight easily, playing fourth line minutes.
Good game by the defense tonight. Petes are a physical team, finishing every check. Forecheck is relentless. Wilson has them going.
