McCann and Rust are pretty creative. Not really sure why anyone rides them.

The rest of your points are valid. Although JJ looks pretty lame imo still.

Rust is creative now. I’m literally saying the same things about McCann as I did Rust at that age. I’m just not afraid to point out unpleasant things even when I like a guy. Others prefer to gloss over weaknesses, different strokes.

Oh damn... Sprong just scored another beauty. Back to back beauties last two games... just saying.

Nah, I meant washed, that’s why I typed it. Don’t you even know cool internet lingo anymore? Then again, this is a message board so we are not exactly on the cutting-edge of social media.

By beauty do you mean Sutteresque solo effort?

He has no reason to trust him afterall. Game 6 vs Nashville didn’t actually happen.

Agreed, it’s like the moon landing actually. The game was awesome, featured the goal that never was and then, Nashville got every break the rest of the game. Murr man, what a stud.

Huge win.

+ Bjugstad. Secondary scoring to get us started and he's been real solid defensively.

+ Mccann. Bury the empty netter, and what a sick SHG. He's looked so good.

+ Sid. Wow is #87 good at both ends of the rink. He's just dominant all year.

+ Murray. First star. He's been big back there. Big game Matt shows up again.

+ Geno. Had an up and down game but he was terrific in the third.

+ Our entire d unit. All of these guys are doing what they need to right now. Simple but effective hockey.

+ Blueger. Looked good no matter where we put him. What else is there to say? He's Guentzel-lite.

+ Jake. Speaking of...just continues to produce, and I love his decision making all over the ice. He rarely makes a bad play.

+ Simon. Was having a good game. Sucks he got hurt apparently.

- Powerplay. It almost lost us this game. We need it to be better. Even on the Guentzel goal yeah great play by Sid/Jake but just prior to that there was a 3 on 2 heading our way and the Bruins almost scored. Hugely different game if we give up a SHG there which we nearly did. These guys have to support each other better out there and have to be willing to dump pucks in on occasion if there is no play. Stop forcing ****.

Hey I was gonna say that

Sprong also had a 11 game goalless and pointless drought before those 2 games, got demoted and healthy scratched and is only on pace for 33 points this year. Not sure why that's the angle you want to take to show you're right.

Being used with non scoring line centers or on friggin LW.

I'll take the budding top 4 22 yr old Dman over a PP specialist who gets HSed

Hell, he's not even out-producing Pettersson for the Penguins. Both have 15 points for their new teams, despite Pettersson being described as a "bottom pair upside DFD" by some.

That's just a really, really bad angle to try to show you're right about another player. Sprong isn't very good.

At the time of the trade I thought Bjugstad would be the better piece by far. McCann has fit the team so well that I'm not so sure of that anymore, and yet, that isn't a dig at Bjugstad at all. He was been good as well. JR has his warts, but everything he has done this year isn't looking too bad recently. Lets hope it stays that way.

-The PP. for the longest time I thought Schultz would have been a better option than Letang up top, but I don't think that's the case anymore. The same knocks I used to have on Letang there (Not a legitimate threat because he won't shoot/defers too often) is now the knock I have on Schultz. I'm sure it's hard to see an open Geno or Kessel and think "I should shoot this", but you have to at least get a few through in order to help get those guys some time and space.

I told everyone that McCann was the best piece of the deal and a very very smart player.

So did Emp, who predicted that McCann would be here in like December.
