I tend to believe in former. Holmgren actually asked Snyder to promote Hexy to GM. I believe there was complete trust between them at that time. I also do not believe that after years of various levels of relationships with each other it would come to a 20 seconds "you are fired shpill"

However it happened, I am of the belief that it was Dave Scott who was mainly driving the Fire Hextall train.

I tend to agree. That just doesn't add up to me, either.

Who the **** cares about the alums? Do i give a **** how riley cote, and briere are treated by Hextall? Confession, i do not care. What i and 99 percent of all fans care about is winning a cup, and Hextall's discipline and savy moves have put us in a position to one day win a cup.
The alumni issue is the one thing I unequivocally agree with Hextall about. An occasional approved nostalgia tour is fine. Just dropping by for fun and doing whatever wherever you want in what is no longer your workplace is ludicrous. I wouldn't expect to go back to my old office after I retire and be able to start running copies for free, looking up porn at someone's workstation, leaving crumbs all over the place, and so forth.

That was all an organizational cover story. Snider forced out Homer for Hextall. Holmgren did not want to give up his GM role.

Hatch, I have to applaud you for how you've been handling being trolled mercilessly by half this board the last day or so. Most would've completely blown up at this point, but you take it like a champion and laugh with the trolls. Good **** dude.
f*** why get mad at posters it's just a message board and it's Xmas time man. Lots take it personal on here. I love the Jersey but not what inside the Jersey the last 5 years. Fletcher is gonna help me out now lol. All the best man.

hatch is a great guy.
So are you man. When you dislike players on the flyers and it leads posters to get so mad they block you it sure makes you wonder if they would act that way towards me in real life and if you could mad respect but if you couldn't then don't do that shit on a message board. We all love the flyers but for me just not right now but more that Fletcher is here and flat hockey won't be tolerated. All the best ghost.

"Risin' up, straight to the top
Run Comcast, run the Flyers
I fired Hextall, but I'll not fire Hak
Cause he taught me just how to raise my sack

It's the Eye of the Lizard
It's the thrill of the cash
Risin' up to the challenge of investors
And the last known hockey fan
Can just eat on my jorts
'Cause I'm watching this all with the Eyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyye

I think that everyone who has stumbled across me, in real life and on social media, has gone away confused to one degree or another lol
It's just funny to imagine some older, less internet savvy guy seeing your account, thinking, "Wow, Dave Poulin was one of my favorites back in the day! I wonder what he's up to these days!" and finding Hakstol photoshops and tweets about fart vacuums and salmon death farts

The fact that Fletcher brought up the Leddy trade was a good sign, he recognized the value of top prospects, and the reason you should be reluctant to trade them - as I used to tell my students, make mistakes as fast as possible, just make sure you learn from them.

Looking at the Minnesota team he built, no simple pattern:

Granlund 5'10 185
Pominville 6'0 180
Spurgeon 5'9 168
Tucker 5'11 187

Coyle 6'3 221
Koivu 6'3 215
Niederreiter 6'2 216

I think the one thing to watch for is what he does with PO underperformers, Simmonds and Ghost have been bad and Jake mediocre.
Given his experience in Minnesota, will he make that an important part of player evaluation, can they play "playoff hockey."
